Kristin Shirahama re-elected to Women's Bar Association Board of Directors

Kristin W. Shirahama was re-elected to the Board of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA). Attorney Shirahama has served on the Board since 2009 and also serves as co-chair of the organization’s
Legislative Policy Committee (LPC) with Attorney Ann Morse Hartner, also of RF&G. The LPC fights for women’s equal rights and for the rights of poor women and children. In addition to meeting with legislators about the WBA priorities, the LPC drafts testimony and letters on vital legislative issues. The LPC is an active voice for equality in the Massachusetts legislature. Among the 2011 WBA priorities is a bill that would reform alimony and a bill that would establish human trafficking for sexual servitude or labor as a crime in Massachusetts.
