Restoration of MassHealth Services!
[July 14, 2006]
Donald N. Freedman

In 2002 and 2003, the Office of Medicaid eliminated or severely limited many services to MassHealth members aged 21 and older. Pursuant to Chapter 58 of the Acts of 2006, the Office on July 14, 2006 proposed amendments to restore coverage of the following services to the level of service provided before the cuts: vision care services (including eyeglasses), administrative days in an inpatient hospital, substance abuse treatment services, dental services (including dentures), certain orthotic services, and chiropractic services. Other restrictions and cuts made in services for members aged 21 years and older have previously been restored. This is a direct link to the Proposed MassHealth Regulations Web page.
